ORNAMENT STAND 1. Open the file "ks_ornament stand template.psd". Control+left click on the layer "stand" to select the ornament stand, and apply one of the presets in the "ornament stand presets" folder to it. I'm using ks_ornament stand 04. Your image should look like this:
2. Click on the title bar of the ornament you just made, and go to Select, All. Go to Edit, Copy and then click on the title bar of the stand and go to Edit, Paste. Your image should look like this:
3. Click on Layer 1 to activate it. Select the Move tool in the Toolbar, then holding down the SHIFT key, hit the down arrow on your keyboard once. Without holding down the SHIFT key, hit the down arrow once more. Your image should look like this:
4. Click on the "stand" layer to activate it. Control+left click to select the stand. Click on Layer 1 to activate it, then use the Eraser tool to erase the left side of the loop on the ornament cap where it overlaps the stand. Go to Select, Deselect. Your image should now look like this:
5. Go to Layers, Merge Visible. Add a drop shadow and whatever background you like. Congratulations--you're done! |
